The 2013 Congress of Cities and Exposition was a great success this year, bringing inspired leaders together to ensure cities remain on the cutting edge for years to come. It was a unique opportunity for local leaders to come together to network and share best practices that promote local economic and financial health, improve the built and natural environment, and ensure quality of life for all city residents.
In addition, Mayor Chris Coleman of Saint Paul, Minn. was elected to serve as NLC's 2014 President. Mayor Ralph Becker of Salt Lake City, Utah will serve as First Vice President, and Mayor Melodee Colbert Kean of Joplin, Mo. will be NLC's new Second Vice President. NLC also named its 2014 Board of Directors.
