Strengthening & promoting cities as centers of opportunity, leadership, and governance

Legal Advocacy Program

Legal advocacy on behalf of cities and towns is an important part of NLC’s mission in Washington.  The impact of court decisions and federal administrative rules affecting local governments are growing rapidly.  Through the work of the NLC Legal Advisory Program, NLC serves its membership by being an advocate for the interests of municipal governments on legal issues of national importance to cities and towns.
