Program Manager, Technology Services

Responsible for managing the Association Management System (AMS), the central system for NLC member demographic, profile and transactional data, serve as the netFORUM project manager/analyst, lead initiatives from a development perspective of all software applications and services that integrate with the netFORUM AMS. Under the direction and guidance of the Chief Information Officer, coordinate and facilitate integrations, customizations, and application development deliverables, interact and collaborate with the various Centers on technology needs and issues and be responsible for assisting with an ongoing training, act as the central organizational contact for all netFORUM enterprise platform related services and projects, including web modules, data imports/exports, reports and queries, system settings, and staff management. The scope of work ranges from tactical to strategic. Reports to the Chief Information Officer.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Conduct requirements analysis with internal staff to ensure that projects align with goals of organization
  • Plan, direct and coordinate projects to ensure that projects are accomplished within prescribed time frames and funding parameters
  • Monitor project activities, ensuring the currency, quality, and integrity of the information, while providing consistency in content and "look and feel" across the enterprise.
  • Perform system maintenance and develop basic customizations based on Toolkit functionality
  • Manage the organizational standard for how data is entered, imported, exported and stored in AMS; Standardize all fields, and work with all departments to coordinate implementation of standardization; Maintain documentation on data standards for all departments.
  • Primary owner for controlling privileges and permissions to all database users.
  • Coordinate with all departments for any import/export needs of AMS, testing and management of test transactions.
  • Coordinate with all external parties for any import/export needs of AMS; Develop/manage all integrations with third party systems and the AMS.
  • Serve as internal expert on AMS system, including customization, reports, user setup, administration, coordination and setup of workflow.
  • Assist with teaching on basics of AMS, and become trainer of AMS systems and serve as primary technical liaison with AMS Vendor.
  • Some travel required.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Education and Education and Experience

Bachelor's Degree in related field or equivalent work experience; minimum five (5) years' experience working with AMS systems required, preferably in the association or non-profit arena, or a combination of education and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.

Required Knowledge Skills and Abilities

Skills required include SQL Server 2005/2008, T-SQL, Windows 2008 Server; Ability to write/run basic SQL queries; Current knowledge of mainstream server applications and operating systems and database systems; must be proficient in XML, HTML, MRS, Microsoft Access, and mainstream office applications

Knowledge of netFORUM a plus; knowledge of C# and Visual Basic a plus. Strong interpersonal skills
