Technical Assistance Projects
Municipal Leadership to Implement Comprehensive Plans for Children and Youth (2007-08)
This project is helping six cities - Charleston, S.C.; Lakewood, Ohio; Washington, D.C.; Lexington, Ky.; Portland, Ore.; and Grand Rapids, Mich. - implement comprehensive plans for children and youth. These cities are implementing plans that focus on specific issue areas as well as community-wide youth master plans.
With support from the MetLife Foundation, the project will offer access to national experts on city-school partnerships, youth development, and youth master planning; networking opportunities with municipal leaders from other project cities; and customized assistance from the YEF Institute. Strategies for engaging school officials and other youth will receive particular attention during the project. Learn More About the Project »
