Youth Today Broadens Focus to Highlight City-Sponsored Youth Initiatives

Youth Today’s new publisher, Sara Fritz, has announced that the respected newspaper and news website is planning to provide more coverage of city government-sponsored youth programs. Since it was founded in 1998, Youth Today has focused primarily on non-profit programs funded by foundations and the federal government. But Fritz, who succeeded founder Bill Treanor as the publisher, told the staff of the YEF Institute that she intends to broaden her news organization’s focus to showcase innovative programs and strategies developed by city governments. She invites NLC members and other YEF Institute registrants to send their announcements about local initiatives to improve outcomes for children and youth to Editor Patrick Boyle at pboyle@youthtoday.org. One-year, Web-only subscriptions to Youth Today are now available at a reduced price of $14.99.
