Freddie Mac Foundation Cities Supporting Parents Leadership Academy (2006)
In collaboration with the Metropolitan Washington Council of Governments, the YEF Institute hosted a Leadership Academy on October 23, 2006, in Bethesda, Md. The Freddie Mac Foundation Cities Supporting Parents Leadership Academy showcased successful strategies emerging from CSP project cities.

Cities Supporting Parents of Young Children Leadership Academy (2005)
As part of this initiative, the YEF Institute also hosted a Cities Supporting Parents of Young Children Leadership Academy on March 31-April 1, 2005, in Washington, D.C. The two-day academy provided training and networking opportunities to build municipal capacity in supporting parents of young children.
Participants had a unique opportunity to learn through working sessions with national experts and peers. Critical topics related to parent support were covered, including: connecting families; community resources; communication and messaging; promoting parent education; and supporting parent leadership.
